A. MONIQUE LESLIE, PHD
CHIEF PSYCHOLOGIST AND
CLINICAL SUPERVISOR

Ph.D. CA #30961 | DE #B1-0011259

“Making an impact on communities that matter to me.”

I believe it is crucial to challenge the negative stigmas that mental health has had on our society and within the sub-cultures of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). I believe education, empathy, trust, and transparency are key to opening discussions around mental health and helping underrepresented populations become more aware of and willing to change the narrative around psychological wellness. Therapy can help us connect to ourselves in ways we have long been denied; it’s time for us to help one another heal from within.

I am currently a licensed psychologist in California (PSY #30961). I earned my BS in Psychology from Ursinus College and had an opportunity to study at Howard University during my undergraduate years; an experience that inspired me to pursue my doctorate. I earned my master’s and doctorate degrees in Clinical-Forensic Psychology from Alliant International University in Fresno, California. I attended an APA-Accredited Internship providing culturally inclusive, community based psychological services in Fresno, California. I went on to complete my Post-Doctorate training in my hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, working in trauma-informed care.

I completed my post-doctorate training and began my licensed career providing psychological services to inmates and other marginalized communities. I have dedicated my career to practicing and researching evidenced-based and culturally informed psychological services for BIPOC based on my experience and training in the field.

In addition to offering virtual psychotherapy services, I administer psychological evaluations and provide trainings on suicide risk assessment and awareness. I am an adjunct professor of psychology at a community college in California. I am actively involved in equity and inclusion research to advance the success and academic achievement of Black students.

My clinical specialties include: Clinical and Forensic Psychology, Clinical Diagnosis, DSM Disorders, Inpatient and Outpatient Therapy and Treatment, Depression and Anxiety, Trauma, Domestic Violence, Healthy Relationships, Juvenile Justice, Psychological Evaluations, Court-mandated Treatment, Forensic Evaluations, Mentally Ill Offenders, Evidenced-Based Therapy, Short-Term Psychotherapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Depth-Oriented Therapy, Multidisciplinary Treatment, Multicultural Therapy and Assessment.
